My Goddaughter Allyson had her first communion. She looked so pretty and so grown up. The kids did great and had a good time after the church service. Thank you to our friend Anna for lending us a cute dress.

We went out and spent the day at my friend Phia's place. She has a sand box that we tried out for the first time. We will not be getting a sand box anytime soon. Way too dirty for me. This is the kids playing in the box with Matthew.

And then we went to the Detroit Zoo this week with my friend Marcia and her daughter Meg. We had a fun time there as well. Its so much bigger than Toledo, but the kids hung out and had a great time.
Reid is pointing at a butterfly. Not really a great place for 20 month olds(yes, the kids will be 20 months old by the time I post this)Its hard to explain the "you can look but not touch rule".

This is how most of our day went. Elsie hanging back, checking things out. Reid taking off, and Marcia pushing an empty stroller.

Reid looking very cute.

Elsie just as cute, even though it was waaaay past naptime.

The new polar bear exhibit was really cool. The kids loved watching the seals swim right over top of them.

Again, Elsie hanging back, looking at the animals and Reid in a full run, taking off again.

Meg, Elsie and Marcia on the train.

This was the kids first train ride. They weren't too sure of it at the start, but soon we had them laughing. We had to say "choo, choo"about a hundred times.

Elsie finally enjoying herself on the train.
